Starter: #1 Larry Fitzgerald, Pittsburgh
(2002-2003)-In just two seasons Fitzgerald tallied 161 career receptions for 2,677 yards (16.6 yards per reception) and 34 touchdowns. In 2003 Fitzgerald won the Walter Camp Award and was the runner-up for the Heisman Trophy. Fitzgerald made some of the most spectacular and acrobatic catches seen at the college level.
2.) #20 Johnny Rodgers, Nebraska (1970-1972)
-Rodgers was a major contributor to Nebraska’s ’70 and ’71 National Championship teams and won the 1972 Heisman Trophy, Walter Camp Award and UPI Offensive Player of the Year. In 3 seasons Rodgers totaled 143 receptions for 2,479 yards (17.3 yards per reception) and 25 touchdowns and added 745 yards and 11 touchdowns on the ground. Rodgers is still tied for the NCAA record for total punt and kick returns for a touchdown in a career (8) while totaling 2,362 return yards. Rodgers found the endzone a total of 44 times and had the ability to take any play to the end-zone.

-Warrick was a elusive playmaker that caught 207 passes for 3,517 yards (17 yards per reception) and 32 touchdowns during four year career. Warrick participated in two national title games, winning one (1999). Warrick also had 937 career return.
4.) #81 Howard Twilley, Tulsa (1963-1965)
- Set NCAA records for receptions (261), receiving yards (3,343) and touchdowns (32) during his career at Tulsa. Twilley averaged 12.8 yards per reception and was the runner-up in the 1965 Heisman Trophy voting and was a unanimous All-American.
Wide Receiver 2
Starter: #4 Roy Williams, Texas
(2000-2003)- Williams was a four year starter for the Longhorns and caught 241 career passes for 3,866 yards and 36 touchdowns. Williams also rushed for 243 yards and three touchdowns at Texas. William's tall build made him look slower and less elusive than he really was. He recorded a 10.38 100 meter dash.
2.) #5 Michael Crabtree, Texas Tech (2007-2008)
- A unanimous consensus All-American selection, Crabtree is the only receiver to win the Biletnikoff Award twice (’07 and ’08). Crabtree dominated with 231 career receptions for 3,127 yards (13.5 yards per catch) and 41 touchdowns in just two seasons.
3.) #81 Tim Brown, Notre Dame (1984-1987)
- Brown won the 1987 Heisman Trophy, becoming the first receiver to ever win the prestigious award. He recorded 137 receptions for 2,493 yards, averaging 18.2 yards per reception and 12 touchdowns. Brown added three touchdowns as a kick returner and three touchdowns as a punt returner. All together Brown compiled 5,024 yards and 22 touchdowns while averaging 116.8 all-purpose yards per game during his career.
4.) #88 Randy Moss, Marshall (1996-1997)
- Earned First-team All-American recognition for his 96 reception, 1,820 yard and 26 touchdown performance season, which was Marshall’s first at Division I-A. Moss finished his career with 168 receptions for 3,467 yards, averaging 20.6 yards per reception, and 53 touchdowns. Was 4th in the Heisman Trophy voting in 1997 and also won the Fred Biletnikoff Award.
5.) #1 Anthony Carter, Michigan (1979-1982)
-Carter thrived in a run-oriented offense as both a receiver and return specialist. Carter was a three time All-American selection finished 10th, 7th and 4th in Heisman voting. He was named the 1982 Big 10 Most Valuable Player. For his career Carter totaled 161 pass receptions for 3,076 yards, 19.1 yards per catch and 37 pass receptions touchdowns. Carter averaged 25.8 yards per kickoff return, 11.2 yards per punt return with 2 touchdowns and rushed for 213 yards and a touchdown. In total Carter scored 40 times during his as a Wolverine.
